Questions Answered

On Monday I gave my blogging friends the opportunity to ask me anything & got some really great ones are the promised answers.  *s*

From Melli: What is your favorite memory of a time when one of your children did something "naughty"?

It would have to be the time when my daughter (age 2) disobeyed me & headed for the strawberry patch to be with her pawpaw & I ran after her but I was barefoot, as usual & sliced the side of my right foot on a piece of wood stuck in the ground and the cut required stitches. The funny part of this story is that I warned the drs that I had no control over my right leg & that they should hold my leg down but they didn't listen so when they stuck the needle in to deaden it, my leg went flying!  LOL

From Wystful: Living in the mountains of Cloudland Georgia, do you get the opportunity to see wildlife in your own backyard? And if so, what have you seen? What good memory do you have of the wildlife?

Yes, wildlife often enter our yard...front & back. We have seen deer, rabbits, snakes (yikes!), turkeys, & wild pigs. My favorite memory was watching a deer family run & frolic...awesome! Another memory I have to share is that when a herd of wild pigs ran through the yard, my little 2 lb chihuahua (Cody) gave them chase...he thought he was soooo big & bad!

From Carmen: Do you like hats?

No, I'm not really a hat person but will sometimes put on a tobaggan during the winter. I hate cold weather but I often go out barefoot no matter the weather. How weird is that?

From Tahoe & Winston: Have you ever tried to taste pet food?

Nope, I can honestly say I've never tasted pet food but if I ever do, I'm sure I will say pa--tooey too!  lol

From local girl: Did you ever paint your outdoor swing? What color is it?

Well, my swing is almost painted...I ran out of paint though & haven't remembered to buy more. I think one more coat is needed but it looks okay for now & besides, I'm lazy!   *s*  I chose to paint it black.

Another from Melli:
What kind of "extra curricular" activities were you involved in when you were in school?

This is really easy to answer...none at all. I was much too shy & introverted in school to be very popular and I haven't changed much over the years.

Another from Carmen: What's your favorite Christmas tradition?

It is a family tradition to get together with family & friends on Christmas Eve to have a feast & open gifts. I really enjoy that very much but I always eat way too much!  lol

Another from Wystful: What is your favorite game you'd play?

When I was a child, our family played lots of games together: mostly wahoo & dominoes but we also played cards. I still enjoy all those games but I mostly play card games online, especially. I lose more than I win though.

Another from local girl: What is your favorite animal? Is it pandas?

My favorite animal is chihuahuas, of course, but I really like most all wildlife creatures. However, my favorite would have to be elephants...followed closely by meerkats, pandas & koalas.   *s*

Also from Melli: How will you and Mr. bring in the New Year for 2007?

*Sigh* Unfortunately, the infamous Mr. K has to work all night on New Year's Eve so we will be apart. I will probably be sitting at my computer most of the night.

Also from Carmen: If you were an M&M, what color would you be and why?

This is a tough question for me to answer but, to be honest, I would have to say I'd be a brown M & M...plain and nondescript but just as sweet as any of the other colors.  *s*

From PJ:
What is the first site you log into when you get online and why is it your favorite?

Since I am usually up well before daylight, I often log on to Pogo first & play some games and then I like to visit this site that makes me feel as warm as sunshine. I also visit blogs as often as possible.   *s*

From Lifecruiser (who is having a party today):
What are you going to wear at my party?

Below is what I have chosen to wear to your should really crack everyone up, don't you think?!  LOL

The clown photo was found here.

Thursday Thoughts #2

My thoughts today are centered around people that form cliques and invite others to join but then they have a tendency to make new members feel like they are not worthy or good enough to be a part of their group but choose to ignore them altogether. I am sure not all groups are like fact, I am a member of a group that is very friendly & fun to be with.

I do understand friendship and, if given half the chance, I can be a friend to almost anyone so it really irks me very much to come across people that make others feel so unimportant. I think everyone should be treated fairly & with respect...I even respect the right of people to form cliques but if you cannot find it in your heart to accept everyone that joins or wants to join, please don't expect me to be a part of your group. It would just be too uncomfortable a situation for me.

If you would like to join Thursday Thoughts, you will find the link listed in my sidebar.

Opening The Door

I know that a few other people have done this & I found it very interesting & informative so I am taking the plunge...I just hope the water isn't too deep! If there is anything you would like to ask me, please post the question(s) in comments & I will answer them as honestly as possible on Friday.  *s*

I kept my 2 grandkids overnight & this morning, we had a discussion about grandson said he landed on the roof & then my granddaughter said he then came down the chimney. I told her that was true but since we didn't have a chimney, he just came through the door. Her response was that no he didn't. It seems her dad told her that Santa came into their home via the vents. In order not to confuse the child, I told her that I'm sure he did but since my vents didn't work, he had to use the door. *s*

I Have

I have had several things that I thought about posting but I just can't seem to make it all come together just yet so I will wait but, in the meantime, I am anxiously awaiting to hear who bought who lunch over at Wystful's place & I haven't forgotten that votes are needed at Lifecruiser's blog this week so will go do that in awhile.

Time To Shop

I am excited! I am going Christmas shopping today...I have to buy a gift for a special friend & get it in the mail....and hope it arrives in time for Christmas.

Speaking of gifts, the infamous Mr K bought me the cutest little snowman lighter the other day...when you strike it, it plays music. I love it! I haven't bought him anything yet & really don't quite know what to get him still. lol
