Sharing Tidbits

It is really hard for me to imagine that my granddaughter is growing up. She started kindergrten on Friday. She cried & when my daughter got back to her car, she cried too. It is quite a milestone for both of them. *s*

Also, my daughter will be moving into her new home this week so I will lose Chance soon. He is a wonderful dog & I will miss him but I told the infamous Mr K that I would like to visit the animal shelter in October & see about adopting a dog but am not sure I want to wait that long.

My neighbor has a dog that is very old & has some health issues so I will need to make sure that the dog we get will be friendly towards Sir Frederick....that is a must but I should be able to see how he reacts to the other dogs in the shelter, I think, so that is a plus.

How exciting!!! I'd love to go with you and check out the dogs too!

Hope you find one that's ideal.

(And ya...I think all we mothers have gone through that 1st day of school tears too!!!)

Happy Sunday.

How exciting for your granddaughter. My daughter is four and will start kindergarten in Sept 2007. She started Day care leading to preschool this week. It was a milestone filled with tears for us too.

Just going to add:

It was a milestone filled with tears for us too especially when I realized that I was never again going to be the mom she spends every day all day with again. I wasn't going to be her main influence anymore. I was a little sad.

Oh Chi... lucky you! When I got Jewl from the shelter - well, she was a brand new puppy - but I got to go into the yard with her and all her siblings and play with them all! She was the most snuggly one - she seemed to pick me more than I picked her... it was great fun!

And as for gd starting kindergarten - HOW WONDERFUL! Oh what a big step! I didn't cry when Amanda started school ... I think I was just too busy - as a single mom - and just knew she needed it. And I didn't cry when Mathew went off, cuz I had the twins keeping me busy. But when the THEY went off... ohhh boy! I cried for days! Then I started enjoying myself! LOL!

We have a few years before my granddaught heads off to school. But when she was left with us for a few days this summer at the Lodge she did fine, her mommy was the one who cried and called to make sure she was doing ok. It is hard to let go but the joy is when they come home you have them to love.

Glad you are going to adopt. I know you will find just the right new pet and animal friend. I have adopted all 3 of mine and from the moment we met I knew they were right for me!

I have never been without a pooch. They are just so important to me. I would definitely start looking now because you might not find the dog for you right away.

Good luck,
